πŸƒβ€β™€οΈ Walk With Us for Kidney Health: Join the AACKA 3K/5K Walk in Nuneaton! 🌿

African and Afro-Caribbean Kidney Awareness (AACKA) invites the community to take a step towards better health by joining our 3K or 5K Awareness Walk at Riversley Park, Nuneaton. Exact date TBC. Watch this space for more information.

This community event aims to shine a light on the rising impact of kidney disease in African and Afro-Caribbean communities, where people are disproportionately affected and often diagnosed too late. Through walking, we hope to raise both awareness and funds to help tackle health inequalities and encourage early prevention.

πŸšΆβ€β™‚οΈ Why You Should Join:

  • Choose between a 3K or 5K routeβ€”perfect for individuals, families, and groups

  • Help raise awareness of silent symptoms and the importance of kidney health

  • Support a cause that directly benefits your community

  • Make it fun: come in teams, wear your AACKA t-shirts, or bring your banners!

🩺 On the Day:

  • Free blood pressure checks offered by trained volunteers

  • Information leaflets and health resources available throughout the event

  • Opportunities to meet and talk with AACKA volunteers, and members of the AACKA community.

This is more than just a walkβ€”it’s a movement towards early detection, education, and empowerment.

🎟️ Free to take part, but donations are welcome. AACKA merchandise will also be available on the day.
